Emergencies or disasters can occur at any time.  An all hazards response plan is prepared and integrated into the Bates County Emergency Operations Plan.  Staff is prepared to respond to a public health emergency which is any threat to public health and safety such as an infectious disease epidemic or any event that has the potential for significant health impact to the community, such as a bioterrorism event.  They are also prepared to respond in support roles in other types of emergencies or disasters.
